Bio of Oyamada-san
Oyamada-san, President of Toyota Technical Center Australia
Oyamada-san was appointed President of Toyota Technical Center Australia (TTC-AU) in 2008. He joined Toyota in 1983 and his career for the company has spanned 25 years.
He has worked in the development and engineering of various cars at Toyota, including the Supra, Soarer, Mk II, RAV4 and Tundra (full size pickup truck).
In 2001 Oyamada-san moved to the Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, U.S. where he helped develop the first Toyota Technical Centre Self – Reliance Project for the Toyota Solara.
Oyamada-san sees an opportunity for TTC-AU to conceive, design, develop and rollout the production of an “all-Australian” car for the world.
In his spare time, Oyamada-san enjoys playing golf, tennis and bike-riding, loves listening to jazz, driving classic rally cars and relaxes with a glass of Australian wine or sake with fresh food.
